Ellicott District Coalition The papers in this collection were secured for filming by Mrs. Sharon Holley. The papers were placed on loan to the Afro-American Historical Association of the Niagara Frontier. The papers are organized and filmed in chronological order. They were filmed by Dr.Monroe Fordham, member of the History Department, Buffalo State College in 1995. The records kept at the Monroe Fordham Regional History Centre cover a period from 1968-1982. The Ellicott District Coalition gave this "fact sheet" with the records for microfilimng. What is the Ellicott District Coalition? Good question. The coalition was formed in 1968 to bring all agencies together for sharing, innovation, and implementation of beneficial concepts related – the Ellicott District. Some of our accomplishments:
We began very passively and was said to have “tired blood.” Recently, we have moved to an active, involved organization offering meaningful services to the community. Presently we have many sub-committees working toward community betterment. Some of these are:
