Administration Building Opening Day Program

This is an extremely rare item in the Larkin collection. It is the opening day dedication program of Frank Lloyd Wright's design of the Larkin Administration building that opened in 1906. Looking closely at this image, you will notice that it has an embossed cover. This item depicts the rear of the building which is usually not seen. The photo was laid out this way because the massive factory complex in front of the building needed to be shown. The program states: “An office building of the twentieth century to accommodate 2000 clerks. Completed 1906."
